THE TALE OF THE TONGUE-IN-CREEK BAND
The Tongue in Creek band members met last year during a jam session that was interrupted by a rainstorm so sudden and fierce that they were swept down into the Tujunga (pronounced “Tuhunga”) Creek Wash.
They survived by climbing onto Lynn’s bass, and paddling their way to safety using their instruments.
Realizing the precariousness of life as bluegrass musicians, the five members vowed to seek out humor in all their future musical endeavors.
The result is a comedy group that does for Classic Bluegrass and country what Weird Al Yankovic does for pop music.
Combined with hot picking, fine singing, and comedic banter, Tongue-in-Creek Band is quality musicianship from folks who definitely know the meaning of tongue in cheek .
